DubbiOvi 2.0 follows a local-first architecture. Your audiovisual materials are never uploaded to the University of Oviedo. Registration information is used solely for project administration and, where you choose to opt in, occasional project updates.

Internet & Local Processing

Internet access is required for initial runtime/model downloads and for optional cloud AI services.
Local Whisper transcription can operate offline after the required runtime/models have been installed.
Local Piper speech synthesis can operate offline after the required runtime/voices have been installed.
Gemini and OpenAI services require an Internet connection.
